Recruiter Directory Options
From Top-Sales-Jobs.com
Building a Recruiter Directory for Top-Sales-Jobs.com is an on-going process. As a veteran
recruiter, I am well aware that all recruiting talent is not created equally!
There are several places you can go to find lists of recruiters, but to get you started, here are
two great sources:
The Kennedy Red Book is one of the best resources you can use. You can buy this book at your
local book store, or through Amazon.com, or just head out to your local library. The Red Book is a
comprehensive listing of recruiters by type (contingency vs. retained), location, and functional
specialty.
While it's not absolutely necessary for success, you'll have better luck connecting with a recruiter
who specializes in your industry or function. Although, as mentioned elsewhere, recruiters often
don't respond to unsolicited resumes unless they have a current opening that matches your background.
Another good source of recruiters is through the organization I've been affiliated with for a
number of years: Top Echelon. Top Echelon recruiters are usually recommended for membership by a
fellow recruiter. If not recommended, they are totally screened, including reference checks, prior
to an offer of membership being extended. Recruiters in Top Echelon commit to upholding the highest
ethical standards. If you work with a Top Echelon recruiter, you can gain access to job openings
of over 1,000 recruiters from coast to coast, and allow your background to be shared among
network members. This exposure can result in finding a new job pretty quickly.
These two recruiter directories are really all you need to find a few good recruiters to
work with. Check them out!
