Thanks for responding so quickly to the question I posed.

You bring up some interesting points on how companies get through the hiring process. I understand the need to keep candidates waiting if they are not the first choice, but it seems unfair for companies to do this. I think I would rather know where I stand.

I always thought that scheduling conflicts were a good way to keep me guessing whether I'm in or out. I'm not sure that I believe that's the only reason for all the delays I'm encountering in my job search.

You make a good point about continuing to look for other opportunities. It's a tough market right now.

Thank you for the overview of the process. It keeps things in perspective.
